Inland & Coastal Marina Systems design and manufacture floating marina walkways and floating breakwater systems, for both inland and coastal developments and have supplied floating marinas and jetties to both the UK, and European markets, working with public bodies, government agencies, contractors and individuals to provide high quality and bespoke solutions for all types of floating pontoon requirements.
From leisure marina pontoons to commercial concrete breakwaters and crew transfer vessel berths, ICMS systems are designed to enable boats of all shapes and sizes to moor safely and securely, whatever the conditions. Systems include:
The standard Leisure Pontoon system is manufactured from galvanised steel with polystyrene flotation blocks encased in glass fibre reinforced skin.
Concrete breakwaters are manufactured in house and are designed to attenuate waves to an acceptable level so that sheltered berthing can be provided where a fixed breakwater is not feasible.
Heavy Duty Pontoons
ICMS heavy duty pontoons are designed to accommodate the berthing of larger vessels in marinas, yacht harbours and ports, and are used extensively throughout the commercial marine industry in semi-sheltered sites. When using a double fender, freeboard heights from 500mm to 1200mm can be accommodated, making the pontoon suitable for berthing vessels of any shape and size.
We work closely with customers to understand the specification so that we can recommend a suitable pontoon type (Leisure, Heavy Duty, Continuous Concrete or Breakwater) and design the bespoke features so that the pontoon can function as required. Examples of service pontoons include swimming pools, pump out pontoons and toilet and shower blocks.
ICMS have developed continuous concrete pontoons to provide an economical berthing and/or wave attenuation option in semi-exposed sites.
Offering many of the same benefits as the breakwater such as high weight for wave dampening, strength and longevity, the pontoon also provides a stable floating solution which can be used for cycleways or walkways.
